Oxford Sensory Spaces and Wellness Rooms

A sensory room is a calm space devoted to relaxing and developing the senses. Sensory spaces are open to everyone, but are particularly helpful for neurodiverse students and employees. Miami has several of these spaces on campus!

Miami also includes several wellness rooms. These spaces may also include sensory stations, but sometimes also offer programming, passive activities, and more.

Armstrong Student Center Study Spaces

Each semester during the week of finals, the Armstrong Student Center provides extensive study space for students. One room in Armstrong (Room 1080) is dedicated as a sensory space during the week. The space allows students to get away from the stress of testing with relaxation techniques and sensory-friendly devices.
