Miami’s Mental Health Committee

At Miami, we’re committed to fostering a supportive environment where everyone can thrive. Building on the insights from the 2022-23 Mental Health Task Force report, we’ve established a comprehensive approach to mental health and emotional well-being. Our ongoing work includes implementing the task force’s recommendations and exploring new initiatives through our standing Mental Health Committee.

Find a Student Organization (The Hub)

Miami has more than 600 student clubs and organizations, including service organizations, fraternities and sororities, academic and career-focused groups, and special-interest clubs. Explore your options for getting involved on the Hub!

Sensory Spaces and Wellness Rooms

A sensory room is a calm space devoted to relaxing and developing the senses. Sensory spaces are open to everyone, but are particularly helpful for neurodiverse students and employees. Miami has several of these spaces on campus!

Miami also includes several wellness rooms. These spaces may include sensory stations, but sometimes also offer programming, passive activities, and more.
